Thankful Thursday

Terry has had a strange looking mole on his cheek for well over a year now. Of course, he thinks nothing of it. I, on the other hand, have been examining it a couple times a week, thoroughly checking the size & color. Finally, I made him an appointment to have it looked at, which he reluctantly went to this week. It was his first doctor's visit in 15 years,which was another forced meeting. Are all men like this about doctors? Geez! Anyway, I'm thrilled to say it was nothing serious.. just a little liquid nitrogen & it'll be gone. For this, I am incredibly thankful.
I'm also thankful for:

~ the friends & family who called to check on the outcome of Terry's appointment
~ the family in Mathews who grows asparagus every year. I almost caused an accident on Main Street doing a U-y after seeing that familiar "Asparagus" sign

~ the amazing weather we've had week for plenty of outside lunches

~ my sister, who understands me in a way no one else does or probably ever will
~ being able to take a kayak out & paddle around by myself whenever i want or need


~ Carys hugging me, telling me in her soft voice "i love jen" (Carys is one of the children I take care of)
